Helping Future Farmers Grow at ISU
6/29/26
As part of Woods Equipment’s 80th anniversary commitment to the future of agriculture, we partnered with Illinois State University’s Department of Agriculture to sponsor their golf outing on June 26, contributing directly to the Harvey S. Woods Scholarship Fund. The scholarship was established in 1998 in memory of Harvey S. Woods, who chaired ISU’s ag department from 1957 to 1970, and it helps fund the next generation of land stewards at a time when U.S. agriculture faces a projected gap of more than 100,000 food and ag job openings each year.
Over 100 participants turned out to the fundraising event, including ISU alumni, local business owners, and ag program supporters, for a morning of golf at Wolf Creek Golf Course. Despite the rain, spirits stayed high, and the day wrapped with lunch and the announcement of the winning foursomes.
“It was a fun event,” said Dan Clark, Woods Technical Services and ISU Agriculture alumnus. “It was great to reconnect with friends and meet so many people that use Woods equipment on their farms and properties.”
We are proud to support the next generation of ag leaders who will continue the tradition of cultivating the land. Thank you to Illinois State University for having us!
